BIO

Oscar Foronda is a Spanish film and stage actor. He was born in September 1970 in Barcelona, Spain. During summer camps as a child, young Foronda found fascination and desire to perform in first theatre plays. In 2002, his love of the theatre took him to the Barbican Theater in London, where he performed the Shakespearean play Macbeth, directed by Calixto Bieito.

In the early 90ties, he started to model and act in commercials and amateur theatre and was booked for his first roles in well-known Spanish TV shows.

Until today, as an actor, Foronda has appeared in over 60 films and TV series. First international productions include Any Human Heart (2010), a Mini-series directed by Michael Samuels, where Foronda played the role of Faustino Angel alongside Matthew Macfadyen. In the Swedish C-More TV series Gåsmamman, Foronda plays the cunning and implacable Columbian drug dealer “El Largo”.

Furthermore, Foronda played a significant historical character in The Crown’s Netflix and BBC TV series (Season 4). His role is Constantino Davidoff, deemed by some as responsible for starting the Falklands War.

Oscar is also a passionate writer. In 2023, he translated several scripts from Arabian and Middle Eastern TV and feature film productions into Spanish, in which he also participated as an actor.
