A fully awarded circus. 5 generations of that family. Such an admirable commitment and discipline, including their youngest ones , @benicio_y_charmelle_raluy fantastic trapeze artists.

Throughout their classic wagons, trucks and global atmosphere, I realized how my inner child aroused and enjoyed the magic.
I felt the true and pure core of the artists’ world as a whole that can be traced back to so many centuries ago. So genuine.

A microcosmos that merges efforts, connection, training, daily experiences, travels, mutual cooperation, familiarity and creativity. I truly understand why they settled the slogan “In Art we trust”.

Dimitri (The original and funny Master of ceremonies) said something very interesting: “ When things go South, artists are the first ones being persecuted”. I agree.

We, artists, are usually the ones fully prepared to detect immediately any manoeuvre from fanatics and manipulators. We are used to getting into the different aspects of emotions and the art of disguise.

The difference lies in the purpose of free artists: The intention of opening minds 💚 Never the opposite.

Last night at the Auditori Forum. @olafurarnalds concert about to start 🎼

I still remember the first time I stepped on stage. I was about to turn twenty years old.
It was a show with no prior rehearsals on stage. The lights… the powerful lights! 💡💡💡

I stepped in, and I couldn’t see the audience. Not a single face. All dark. Blurry.
I didn’t know our eyes need minutes to get used to that sudden and drastic change. My teeth ground for ten seconds. Wow… The auditorium was packed to the rafters!

Then it stopped, and something magical happened:
I knew that I not only passed the acid test but that I would also enjoy every single chance on stage or set from that day onward.

I realized that there was a balance over there. I knew everything would turn out to be a matter of excitement rather than fear… and so until today.
That’s why we artists can enjoy and endure so many moments.

It’s not that we cannot escape from that symbiosis with art. It’s that we just don’t want to. We highly resist doing so. It’s an intrinsic part of us, whatever we do in life, and it will always be.

It doesn’t have to be understood. It’s something that has to be felt.
